An international hotel chain wanted to identify the sites, social networks, and forums where young professionals (front of house staff, maîtres d’hôtel, chefs, etc.) spent their time. The aim: to gain a more in-depth understanding of their expectations in order to effectively communicate the benefits of joining the chain. These types of positions have a very high turnover, yet are a key focus, since they play an essential role in maintaining flawless service.
Plugr organised the targeted collection of Facebook data - as well as that from specialist forums - from four European countries. Detailed recommendations were provided to the chain's HR manager, which formed the basis of a brand employment digital strategy. A Facebook page was successfully set up to reveal life behind the scenes for employees working at the group and the benefits it brings.
